Important Information if there is a Model Aircraft or Drone on your Christmas Gift List
Neighborhood News on www.worthington.org, December 21, 2015

Drones and model aircraft are expected to be a popular gift this holiday season.
With Worthington being in such close proximity to the OSU Airport at Don Scott
Field, there are some requirements you need to know about before you fly your new
model aircraft. Please see the link below for important safety information
including a list of Doís and Donítís from the FAA. Anyone flying a hobby or
recreational model aircraft within five (5) miles of an airport is required to
contact the control tower in advance. This covers the majority of the City of
Worthington. The contact at the OSU Airport tower is:

Deral Carson
Midwest Air Traffic Control Service, Inc.
The Ohio State University Air Traffic Manager
614-326-0130, ext 2
