Airport advertises itself as corporate gateway

To the Editor:

I am writing in response to the Sept. 8 story [in Worthington News], "Trustees to hear results of study on runway plan." In this story, reporter Scott Takac states that Robert Haverkamp, assistant vice president for business and finance at the Ohio State University, said in August that "catering to corporate jets [is] far from the university's goal and contrary to its education mission."

Why then, does OSU Don Scott airport continue to advertise itself as "Central Ohio's Corporate Gateway"? This is the exact wording that has been the official slogan of the airport for more than a year.
