WOOSE submits comments concerning FAA proposal to shield Wildlife Strike Database information

The National Wildlife Strike Database (NWSD) is commonly known as the bird strike database and is
the depository of reports filed by pilots concerning accidents with wildlife. The recent US Air
flight 1549 accident and its subsequent landing in the Hudson River were due to the aircraft
encountering a flock of birds at approximately 3,000 feet just after take-off from LaGuardia
