University sets location, format for airport meetings: Advisory committee, public workshop set for Oct. 14

OSU will shortly issue the following press release with details on the location and format of the
upcoming airport meetings. Get your questions ready, as there will be a Q&A period!


COLUMBUS ¯ The Ohio State University will host an Advisory Committee meeting from 2 to 4 p.m. Oct.
14 at the Aeronautical and Astronautical Research Laboratory, at 2300 West Case Road, on the grounds
of the Ohio State Airport at Don Scott field. The purpose of the meeting is to present the findings
of the Environmental Assessment (EA) to the Advisory Committee and to answer any of the committee¯s
questions on technical issues.

Also on Oct. 14, the University will host a public workshop from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Daniel Wright
Elementary School, 2335 West Case Road. The purpose of the workshop is to update the public on the
status and findings of the Environmental Assessment and to answer questions from community members.
Doors will open at 5 p.m., and the formal program will be from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Barbara Snyder,
Ohio State executive vice president and provost, will welcome the audience. College of Engineering
Dean William A. Baeslack III will give an overview of the EA, and a question and answer session will
follow.

In addition, Airport officials will develop ¯information stations,¯ a series of display boards with
information on the project¯s purpose, results of the Environmental Assessment, including the noise
study, and a project schedule as it relates to the approval process. The public is welcome to view
the stations before and after the full presentation.
